5th Annual Charity Kickoff Classic

The
Syracuse University Alumni Club of DC is pleased to host the 5th Annual Charity Kickoff Classic on August 23, 2008 in Anacostia Park. Continuing the great tradition started by alumni from William & Mary, North Carolina State, Penn State University, and the University of Maryland, this tournament will feature 12 alumni teams in a pool-play/semi-final/final format. Each team is guaranteed 2 games in the pool-play portion of the tournament, with the 4 pool winners advancing to the semi-finals. This year's festivities will benefit The Good Samaritan Foundation, founded by Redskin
superstar and Pro-Football Fall of Famer Art Monk (Syracuse, '80).
Tournament Info: The tournament is being held in Anacostia Park. Click here for directions to the park. Cost
will be $30 per player which will include a limited-edition t-shirt, beverages and snacks at the fields and entrance to the post-tournament party. Player/team fees must be made directly to the event organizers - there will not be online payment for players/teams. Players must read and sign the waiver of liability document before they can play in the tournament. Players and coaches should familiarize themselves with the the rules that will be used during the tournament.

Party Info: The post-tournament party will be held at Buffalo Billiards from 7 till ???. Guests may attend the post-tournament party for $15 in advance, $20 day of the tournament. Please check the party link for more information on the event and how to pre-pay online.
